Never Miss A Sign vs. New Diamond Sports

Introduction

Baseball and softball are rapidly changing. Now, teams at all levels are using advanced tools like wristband sign systems instead of just traditional signals. These systems have several advantages over the traditional, old-fashioned way of signalling in pitches and plays:

• They're easy to learn.
• They're simpler to use.
• They're pick-proof.
• You only have to teach the system once (instead of each time your signs change).
• You can have a lot more signs.
• You need to prepare your players for the next level, where it's likely that their coach will want them to use this type of system.

Understanding Baseball and Softball Wristband Systems

These wristband systems feature coded wristbands (like the one above) that players wear. The wristbands feature numbered grids which contain a team's pitching, defensive or offensive calls (some wristbands feature a velcro flap and can hold up to three grids, so all of a team's calls can be held in the same wristband).

To make a call, the coach in the dugout signals in the number that corresponds to the call they are making for that pitch/play.
